I first started working with AnneAlise in the fall of 2018. At that time she was in command of the “gym,” to use a dated term, at the Millennium Tower in Boston. The subject of concern was my right shoulder. Her instruction regarding engagement of the muscles surrounding my shoulder, in particular the lats, was a revelation, and I found I could stay out of pain while swinging anything from a driver to a 60-degree wedge.

I was converted and remained so when the BOOM Team was created at the beginning of the pandemic. Brianna Musco is skilled at “recovery,” which is understanding the causes and treatments of the parade of physical stresses I have had as I exercise. Emily Saul is especially effective at working through the non-physical aspects of physical performance. Her “mindset” counseling will take 4 strokes off your handicap. If you are concerned about your waist Madison Richars’ thoughtful discussions regarding nutrition may not take 4 inches off your waist, but it may take 2.

The idea behind the BOOM Team is at once obvious and brilliant. AnneAlise and her colleagues, with their extreme professionalism, passion, and dedication to their clients’ wellness, have executed this idea exceptionally well. My experience with BOOM has been nothing short of transformative. While I had been a faithful disciple of working out being a key predictor of good health, my working out was the same formulaic routine for my entire adult life, i.e. the weight circuit and cardio via the elliptical.  BOOM has introduced me to the multiple components for a healthy life including, diet, mindfulness etc.  And, happily, an almost weekly modification to my workout routine as a result of where I am vs. where they think I should be. I credit BOOM and its knowledgeable team for helping to get me to where I am today, healthy and happy.

I have had the privilege of working with AnneAlise and her team for over three years. I first entertained the idea of personal training just as a means to maintain my weight and manage back pain. I have accomplished much more. 

I am so happy with the increase in strength and mobility that I have achieved, and over time I have been able to improve my cardiovascular fitness by adopting a running practice. 

The nutritional piece of the program has helped me refine my eating habits and start looking at food in a healthier way. My focus now is more on fueling and hydration and less on calories. 

Perhaps the most significant accomplishment I have made throughout this journey is personal growth. I have come to better understand what motivates me and am more comfortable and confident in my abilities.

A former runner and athlete, in my 50s now and post-COVID, I’d become sedentary. I didn’t think I could get back to a level of high-performance fitness, and so I stopped trying. BOOM gave me the wrap-around support that I didn’t know I needed, helping me not just become more fit, but also more agile, flexible, and able to balance. 

The integrative nature of the BOOM model is extraordinary. It feels like being a professional athlete, where you’re not just playing your sport, but you’re reducing your risk of injury, enhancing your performance with the right nutrition, and coming into your workouts with the right mindset for maximum performance. The periodic reports and data collection are wonderful measures of progress and performance over time.

Working with BOOM feels like you have a whole cheering section behind your workouts. The best part about the integration of different sectors is that not only do you get advice from each professional, but they meet as a group to share insights which then get folded into your program. BOOM is not the lowest-cost training program, but I view it as necessary maintenance for my body, mind, and longevity. We do it for our homes, so why not do it for our principal home — our body!

Outstanding! The BOOM Program has been a life changer for me. From Day 1 this integrated and individualized program has been exciting and educational. Every assigned movement has a purpose (or two), and every one of my questions has been answered with clarity, professionalism, and positivity.

Sensational! The coaches are flexible. They are meticulous in their observations and will adjust during a training based on what they see; they do not automatically follow a pre-established plan. This individualization confirms for me that I am in the right program.
